Slow Cooker Season – Crock Pot Fresh Green Beans, Potatoes and Ham

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs fresh green beans rinsed and cut into bite size pieces
  • 4 large thin-skinned potatoes, yellow or red, washed and cut into bite size pieces
  • 5 cups ham cubed
  • 1 ham bone
  • 32 oz chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 cup onion diced

Instructions:

  1. Put your green beans and potatoes in the bottom of your 6-quart slow cooker
  2. Add your onions, garlic salt, onion, ham, and broth
  3. Place your ham bone on top of everything
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until your beans reach your desired tenderness

Serves 6 people.
